Ingredients

Turkey, Water, Sea Salt, Sugar. Rubbed with Sea Salt, Paprika, Pepper, Dextrose, Anise, Garlic, Sage, Rosemary, Onion Powder and Red Pepper

Preparation

Remove the bird from the refrigerator and let stand for 1-hour at room temperature before placing in oven. Pre-heat oven to 350 F.

Remove bird from its bag, taking care to capture any juices and spices within. Leave nylon truss on legs (oven safe up to 450F).

Place on rack in a roasting pan. Distribute any juices and spices from the bag over and around the breast and legs of the bird, and cover the breast and wings with foil.

Roast 1 hour, remove the foil, then reduce heat to 325F. Continue to roast for approximately 2 1/2 hours (or to an internal temperature of 165F).

Total cooking time should be approximately 3 1/2 hours (approximately 12 -14 minutes per pound).

Let stand for 15 minutes before carving.

Impressive Bird

My brother recommended your Brined and Seasoned Whole Turkey and it was as tastey as he told me. All my guests were very impressed with it also! The turkey also made a great turkey noodle soup!

Overall Great Experience

Turkey was delivered quickly and packaged well. It looked great and the brining was done perfectly. We cooked two turkeys this year and the Diestel turned out the juiciest of the two. My only note is that the spice blend was just a touch past what I would have done with the anise and red pepper giving a profile that I wasn't used to, but also was not off putting. It was very tasty, however were i to order in the future I would like a seasoned option the omits the spiciness and anise flavors for a more herbed profile. Overall highly recommend to try.
